Contributor Agreement

Last updated 2026-08-10

This Contributor Agreement ("Agreement") applies to accounts approved to publish content on Planright.tv and supplements the Terms of Service. By accepting, you agree to both.

1. Contributor status

Contributor access is granted by us and may be withdrawn for breach of this Agreement. You are an independent party — nothing here creates employment, agency, or partnership.

2. Your content and licence to us

You retain ownership of the content you upload. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, encode, transcode, generate thumbnails and previews from, stream, distribute, and display your content through the Service, and to use titles, thumbnails, and excerpts to operate and promote the Service. This licence lasts while your content remains on the Service and for a reasonable wind-down period after removal (for caching and backups).

You represent and warrant that you own or have licensed all rights in what you upload — including video, audio, music, and the rights of any people appearing — and that your content does not infringe any third-party rights or violate any law.

3. Content standards and moderation

We may review, approve, reject, hide, or remove any content at our discretion, including via pre-publication approval. Repeat infringement or unlawful content results in termination of contributor access. Takedown notices are handled through our DMCA process.

4. Revenue share

Each calendar month (UTC), a percentage of the Service's gross subscription receipts — currently 25%, as published in the Service — forms the contributor pool. The pool is allocated among contributors in proportion to each contributor's share of that month's eligible views:

  • An eligible view is a recorded playback session of your published content, excluding views by staff and your own views of your content.
  • Your allocation = pool × (your eligible views ÷ all eligible views that month). The pool resets monthly. No eligible views means no allocation for that month; if a month has revenue but no eligible views at all, the pool is retained by the platform and recorded as such.
  • Monthly figures are provisional until the statement is finalized. Finalized amounts are shown in your Earnings tab and are not recalculated.
  • Payouts of finalized amounts are settled outside the platform on a schedule we communicate. We may require tax or payment information (e.g. a W-9) before paying out.

We may adjust the split percentages prospectively; changes never alter finalized statements and are reflected in the Service when they take effect. Artificially inflating views (bots, view exchanges, automated playback, or any scheme to game the allocation) is prohibited and results in forfeiture of the affected month's allocation and may result in termination.

5. Taxes

Amounts allocated to you are gross of any taxes you owe. You are solely responsible for reporting and paying taxes on amounts paid to you.

6. Public materials

Your profile — including your display name, avatar, banner, about section, blog, and any profile trailer video — is publicly visible without a subscription, and you grant the same licence in Section 2 for those materials.

7. Termination

You may stop contributing at any time; you or we may remove your content, and removal also deletes the underlying media from our video infrastructure. If your contributor access ends, finalized unpaid amounts are still owed to you; provisional (unfinalized) amounts for the month in progress are handled per Section 4 at the next statement. Statement records naming you persist for accounting.

8. Changes

We may update this Agreement; a new version requires your renewed acceptance before continued Studio use. Your acceptance (version and timestamp) is recorded.
